Immersion 13: Pivots & Boleos – Technique, Combinations and Musical Interpretation

Date: Thursday, May 12 – Sunday, May 15, 2016 (Pfingsten/Pentecost)
Location: H95 Raum für Kultur, Horburgstrasse 95, 4057 Basel Switzerland
Level:  Good Intermediate to Advanced
Price:  390 CHF per person.

In this seminar we will begin by studying how to make efficient and stable pivots, which are essential for being able to do any kind of movement with the free leg.  We will examine how to use and release the free leg to create boleos that are easy, elegant and expressive!  We will also see where we can add boleos for the leaders!  Once we understand the technique, positions and useful concepts, we will construct combinations with which we can improvise and play with the music.
