Immersion 16: Back Sacada Fiesta – Technique, embrace, and combinations with other elements

Celebrating the (in)famous back sacada!  
How to make it look and feel easy, and how to do it safely!  
How to incorporate it fluidly in our dance when we’re out on the dance floor!  

Some points of reference that we will study include:
Technique:  overrotated pivots, positioning, vectors of movement, safety and timing

Embrace: adaptability, points of connection, impulse and reaction

Combinations: different entries, sacadas by one or both partners, multiple sacadas, cadenas, what to do after the back sacada?!


During the 4 days, the 16 hours of class are usually organized like this:
