Level: All levels
Teachers: Michelle Marsidi + Joachim Dietiker
Group size: maximum 40 people
Price:  390 CHF per person (Register without a partner!)

Since 2014 we've offered Technique and Bodywork Immersion seminars, each one unique from the others. What we've discovered along the way is that with increased body awareness, dancers can vastly improve their dancing and quality of movement, and therefore their capacity to express themselves! We're looking forward to developing this seminar and to take our concepts and research to the next level.

We will share specific bodywork exercises for conditioning and dynamic alignment, designed especially to improve your technique and to strengthen the body’s core. We use exercises to integrate and feel concepts like "changing tonus" or "activating your core" in our bodies to improve coordination, balance, alignment, connection and flexibility.

We will continue to study concepts and ideas about

  • body mechanics

  • posture and embrace

  • axis and balance

  • use of internal and external space

  • how to create and use spiral movements

  • how to release or relax parts of the body

  • how to engage parts of the body for more efficient movement

  • self-care exercises

Please note: Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a mat or blanket for floorwork and your tango shoes for dancing to integrate the exercises. Our wish is that you can learn new ways of moving and thinking about your body, and that you can apply everything we study to all of your tango repertoire. It is not necessary to have attended one of our past Bodywork Immersion Seminars.

Registration for this seminar is without a partner, although you are welcome to come with friends! :) Please register separately, one form per person.

Elegance is achieved when all that is superfluous has been discarded and the human being discovers simplicity and concentration: the simpler and more sober the posture, the more beautiful it will be.
